Earth's Magnetic Field

The foundational electromagnetic environment for human biology, calibrated by billions of years of living processes. Direct contact with the Earth restores ionic cellular balance holistically in ways machines cannot replicate; man-made fields disrupt the magnetic differential cells depend on for nutrition.

Aajonus understood the Earth's magnetic field as the foundational and biologically appropriate electromagnetic environment for the human body. In his framework, the body evolved within and is calibrated to the natural electromagnetic conditions produced by the Earth itself, and the restoration of proper ionic and electromagnetic balance in cells is most completely achieved by direct contact with the Earth rather than by any machine or therapeutic device. He held that organic, bioactively produced electromagnetic energy, the kind generated by living biological processes and by the Earth's own field, is fundamentally different in character from the electromagnetic energy produced by machines, and that machines can only mimic natural electromagnetic conditions without fully replicating them.

The contrast Aajonus drew between the Earth's field and man-made electromagnetic fields was not incidental to his framework but central to it. Every cell in the body eats by ionic attraction, opening to draw in a mineral-bearing smorgasbord of nutrients through a process governed by magnetism at the cellular level. The Earth's natural magnetic field supports and does not disrupt this process. Man-made electromagnetic fields, measured in gauss, disrupt it at exposures as low as 3 milligauss or 3 gauss depending on the context he was addressing, and the disruption cascades into cellular malnutrition, structural alteration, and eventually death of individual cells. The Earth, by contrast, corrects and balances rather than disrupts.

The Earth's Healing Electromagnetic Field

Aajonus stated directly that lying on the Earth, or on grass in a yard, or on sand on a beach, will balance the currents in the body holistically. He framed this as the original and most complete form of ionic restoration available, one that machines cannot replicate. His reasoning was that the electromagnetic energy produced by machines is nonbioactively produced and therefore only mimics the energy that has been bioactively produced by biological life. The Earth's field is bioactive in origin, shaped by billions of years of living processes, and it addresses the body's electromagnetic needs in a holistic and individualized way rather than imposing a standardized paradigm as machines do.

He described natural clays as carrying magnetic ions that correct cellular low-magnetic conditions. This positioned clay not only as a mineral supplement or detoxification medium but as a carrier of the Earth's corrective electromagnetic properties. The magnetic ions in clay were understood to restore conditions at the cellular level that the Earth's surface contact also restores, making both practices expressions of the same underlying principle: that the Earth's naturally occurring magnetic field is the correct and health-sustaining electromagnetic environment for human biology.

Cellular Magnetism and Ionic Nutrition

To understand why the Earth's magnetic field matters in Aajonus's framework, it is necessary to understand how he described cellular eating. Every cell, he explained, has one to two ions inside it at any given moment. When the cell is ready to eat, it opens and attracts by ionic pull a smorgasbord molecule passing in the bloodstream, lymphatic fluid, or neurological fluid. This smorgasbord, containing anywhere from 92 to 117 different nutrients in one tightly bound cluster, is drawn into the cell magnetically because the magnetism inside the cell is greater than the magnetism outside. The cell eats the entire smorgasbord at once and is then satisfied for approximately five hours before needing to eat again.

The process is entirely governed by magnetic differential. When conditions outside the cell produce a greater magnetism than exists inside the cell, the ionic pull reverses and instead of drawing nutrients in, the stronger external magnetism rips the ions out of the cell. Once the ions are extracted, the cell can never eat again and shrivels from a state like a grape to a state like a raisin, permanently dead. This reversal is what salt does, what concentrated sodium clumps do, and what man-made electromagnetic fields do when they exceed the threshold at which cellular molecular structure is altered.

The Earth's natural field does not produce this pathological reversal. The Earth's field is the electromagnetic baseline within which the cellular magnetic differential operates correctly, with the interior magnetism sufficient to attract nutrients inward and no external electromagnetic source powerful enough to override and extract the ions outward.

Machines Cannot Replace Earth's Fields

Aajonus was asked specifically about a machine called the Papimi device, which was described to him as a device that pumps magnetic ion pulses into every cell of the body in microseconds, bringing cell voltage up to 70 millivolts to open cell gates for nutrition and waste expulsion. His response drew the essential distinction in his framework: the nonbioactively produced electromagnetic energy produced by machines only mimics the energy that has been bioactively produced by biological life.

He cited a specific case he had been told about by a Utah university professor. The professor's mother had received extensive Papimi magnetic therapy in Germany for systemic arthritis and indications of connective tissue disintegration. She experienced decreased symptoms for as long as she received the treatments, but the magnetic therapy did not reverse the condition. She was still seeking help at the time Aajonus addressed the question. He used this case to illustrate that machine-based magnetic therapy can produce symptomatic relief and measurable improvement while active, but it does not achieve the holistic ionic restoration that the Earth's field achieves, and the underlying condition persists.

His Magnet Experiments and Overdose

Aajonus did not entirely reject therapeutic magnets, but his years of experimenting with them produced a specific and cautionary set of conclusions. He stated that he experimented with magnets from 1989 to 1992 and found them beneficial up to a point. A magnetic mattress with alternating poles, positive and negative in alternating sequence as in the Nikon products where every other one was positive then negative, was better than a mattress with only one pole. He paid a thousand dollars for a Nikon mattress but found it did nothing initially, and in fact disturbed his sleep. He investigated their laboratory specifications and found they had done everything in spirals in testing but had placed the magnets in straight lines on the actual mattress. He removed all the magnets and repositioned them in spirals, after which he had good effects.

However, after five months of sleeping on the rearranged mattress, the effects reversed and the mattress began making him feel horrible. He explained this through an analogy to weather: using only the north pole or negative pole in a magnet was like having too much rain. He described countries with constant rain as having extremely high suicide rates, explaining that too many protons makes people crazy and hyperactive. He connected this to the experience in southern California where people feel calm and balanced because there is rarely rain, but after rain for a few days everyone becomes cool and mellowed out, because the rain brings negative ions which balance the proton intensity and level everything out.

His conclusion was that therapeutic magnets could be used beneficially in small doses and for limited periods, but he would not recommend using them all the time, and using only one polarity was potentially very harmful because it would bombard the body with an excess of one type of charge in the way that constant rain bombards an environment with protons.

Man-Made EMFs Violate Natural Conditions

Aajonus's entire body of work on electromagnetic fields was built on the contrast between the Earth's natural field and the man-made fields that constantly deviate from it. He stated that scientists proved animal cells exposed to EMFs above 3 gauss had their molecular structure altered, with an imbalance created in the electron-proton balance of atoms, ultimately altering the molecular structure and behavior of cells. In too many circumstances, he described the fragmentation of electrons as producing effects similar to huge meteors striking the Earth.

He measured man-made EMF sources extensively with a Trifield meter, which he carried with him when traveling because he found that hotel rooms, airplanes, and work environments regularly exposed people to fields far in excess of the 3 milligauss threshold he considered safe by the standards of environmental scientists. His laptop computer measured 110 milligauss directly at the keyboard, with readings from 23 to 85 gauss depending on hard disk activity. Airplane cockpit electromagnetic fields measured 35 to 55 gauss throughout much of the cabin, which he confirmed by moving to the rear of the plane where readings dropped to 3 to 5 gauss. Modern vehicles exposed drivers to 35 to 100 milligauss for as long as the car was operating. MRIs operated at 75,000 milligauss for the main magnet and 12,000 to 75,000 gauss for the antennas that aimed at the body during each imaging sequence.

Each of these represented a departure from the Earth's natural field into ranges that caused cellular disruption, and the remedy in each case was either elimination of exposure, physical distance from the source, or return to the Earth's corrective field through direct contact with the ground.

Ionic Restoration Through Earth Contact

Against the backdrop of constant man-made EMF bombardment altering molecular structure, depleting ionic balances, and causing the cellular fragmentation he described in detail, the Earth's surface offered what he characterized as holistic ionic balance restoration. He did not specify a duration or protocol for lying on the earth or grass or sand, but positioned it as a fundamental and irreplaceable corrective practice. The word holistic was used deliberately, distinguishing the Earth's broad-spectrum and individualized correction from the machine's narrow, standardized, paradigm-based intervention.

He also noted that even with all available therapies, the original and perfect ionic balances might never be completely achieved because bodies have been bombarded by non-organic ions which have become incorporated into the body's own tissues. This qualified his optimism but did not eliminate it, and the Earth's field remained in his framework the most complete available restoration mechanism.
