Plain-language summary of what this site collects and what we do with it. Last updated May 2026.

What we collect

The site collects three things, in order of how often they happen.

  • Anonymous request logs. Vercel, our hosting provider, records the URL, method, status code, and approximate location of every request. Standard server hygiene.
  • Chat input. Anything you type into the chat widget is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. We do not store chat history on a server. The widget keeps your conversation in your browser’s session storage so it persists during your visit and is gone when you close the tab.
  • Email addresses you submit to the waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and the date you submitted it. We do not share it. We use it only to email you when the book launches.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts. No passwords. No persistent profile.
  • No third-party advertising trackers, no behavioural pixels, no Google Analytics.
  • No browser fingerprinting beyond what Vercel needs for routing.

Cookies

The site does not set its own cookies. Vercel may set short-lived cookies for routing and edge-cache identification. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages, which open in a separate domain.

Third parties we send data to

  • Vercel hosts the site and processes your requests.
  • Anthropic processes chat queries and returns responses.
  • OpenAI processes the embedding of your chat query for retrieval. It does not see the full conversation.
  • Stripe processes payments if you ever buy the book. We do not see or store your card details.

How long we keep things

  • Server logs: governed by Vercel’s log retention, which is short.
  • Waitlist emails: until you ask us to remove yours, or until we close the waitlist.
  • Chat conversations: only in your browser. We do not retain a server copy.

Your rights

If you submitted your email address and you want it removed, write to us and we will remove it within seven days. If you live somewhere with stronger privacy law (the EU, the UK, California, others), the same offer applies and you can also ask for a copy of what we have on you, which is at most one row containing the email and the date you submitted it.
