Apoptosis

Cellular death is continuous and normal; the crisis begins when the body cannot clear dead cells fast enough. Accumulation drives tumor formation, cancer cells function as solvent producers, and inadequate fat stores make dissolution itself lethal.

Aajonus Vonderplanitz did not use the word "apoptosis" as a clinical or biochemical term in his teachings. He did not engage with the conventional cellular biology framework in which apoptosis is defined as programmed cell death, a genetically encoded process by which cells self-destruct in an orderly fashion as part of normal tissue maintenance. However, the underlying phenomenon that apoptosis describes, the constant death of cells throughout the body, was absolutely central to his framework, and he addressed it in extensive detail under his own terms and through his own explanatory model.

In his view, the body maintains a normal background rate of cellular death at all times. He stated that in a healthy person, approximately 5% of cells are dying at any given moment. For someone engaged in hard physical labor, athletic training, or other demanding physical activity, that figure could rise to as high as 8% cellular death within a single day. This continuous dying of cells was not presented as pathological. It was described as an ordinary biological condition that a healthy body, properly nourished, can manage and keep pace with on a daily basis. The critical question in his framework was never whether cells die, but whether the body possesses sufficient resources, particularly fats and the microbial systems of bacteria, parasites, and fungi, to dissolve those dead cells and remove them efficiently.

When the body cannot dissolve and discard dead cells at the rate they accumulate, the entire cascade of conditions he associated with degenerative disease begins. Dead cells that cannot be cleared are first dispersed throughout the body, intermixed with live cells, sometimes forming thick fibroids. When the body can no longer distribute them that way, it builds them into tumors, which he described as collections of dead cells contained in one location so they do not spread their toxicity throughout the system. Cancer, in his framework, is precisely this failure of cellular clearance, not a disease of dangerous mutant cells multiplying out of control.

Normal Cellular Death Rate Determinants

Aajonus placed the normal rate of cellular death at 5% at any given time in a healthy body. He described hard laborers, hard workers, and athletes as potentially experiencing 8% cellular death in a day. His point was that these rates are entirely manageable if the body has proper nutritional resources. Without those resources, particularly raw fats, the body progressively falls behind, and the accumulation of dead cells becomes the central driver of disease and aging.

He connected the proportion of living to dead cells directly to observable physical capacity. He described elderly people moving slowly across the street and attributed their impairment to having approximately 22% of their cells alive and functional, with the rest dead or non-functional. He stated that the body cannot sustain itself on 22% cellular life, and that most people drop dead once they reach that threshold. He described 2% cellular life as near the final end. He also noted that even children are being born with a smaller percentage of their cells alive than they should be, and that a child born in optimal conditions should enter life with approximately 95% of its cells alive.

Why Dead Cells Accumulate

In his model, the primary reason dead cells accumulate is that the body lacks the resources to dissolve and discard them. He identified several specific failures that produce this accumulation.

The first and most fundamental is a deficiency in the fats and fat-derived solvents that the body uses to dissolve dead cellular material. He described cholesterol and certain properly digested, assimilated, and utilized fats as essential to the clearance of dead cells. Stone-pressed olive oil he identified as capable of dissolving dead cells. Raw egg fats he described as acting like sacrificial garbage collectors, binding with dead cells or their dissolved waste and carrying the toxins out of the body.

The second major failure is the disruption or absence of the microbial systems that are the body's most natural and preferred method of clearing dead and degenerative cells. He described bacteria, parasites, and fungi as the primary biological tools by which the body detoxifies dead and degenerating tissue. Bacteria and parasites consume dead and dying tissue, reducing it to a small waste product that can be discarded, much as he described eating five to ten pounds of food a day and producing only half a pound of feces. When these microbial systems are absent, inhibited by antibiotics or other toxins, or unable to function because the dead cellular material is itself too chemically toxic for them to consume without being killed, the body is forced to rely on viral solvents, which he described as the most toxic means of clearance because they dilute rather than reduce the waste, spreading it throughout all circulatory systems.

The third driver of accumulation is the sheer volume of cellular damage caused by industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cooked food byproducts, vaccine ingredients, pesticides, preservatives, heavy metals, and environmental pollution. He described all of these as killing cells at rates that overwhelm the body's capacity to clear them even when that capacity is functioning normally. He specifically named the advanced glycation end products from cooked carbohydrates, acrylamides from cooked starches, lipid peroxides from cooked fats, and heterocyclic amines from cooked proteins as carcinogenic substances that accumulate in the body and kill cells at a chronic and compounding rate. He cited Columbia University's finding that 70 to 90% of the advanced glycation end products generated in the body remain there for a lifetime.

He also described hydrogenated vegetable oils as having the same molecular structure as plastic, stating that they outgas in the body, cause damage, and begin disintegrating cells and tissue in a destabilizing process analogous to a psoriatic sore that can never close because the contaminant remains in the tissue.

The Body Containment Strategy

When the body cannot dissolve and remove dead cells, it first disperses them throughout the body intermixed with live cells, sometimes creating thick fibroids. He stated explicitly that this dispersal is the first containment strategy. When the body can no longer distribute them evenly, it collects them in a specific location and builds them into a tumor.

He described a tumor simply and directly as a mass area of dead cells. He stated that approximately 95% of every tumor consists of dead mummified cells. The body does this, in his view, to prevent the dead cells and their associated toxins from spreading freely through the circulatory systems and damaging surrounding tissue indiscriminately. He called tumors "waste stations" or "prisons" that hold dead cells until the body has enough resources to dissolve and discard them properly.

He distinguished between benign (fibroid, non-malignant) tumors and malignant tumors. A benign tumor has no cancer cells in it, no blood circulation running through it, and no mechanism for internal dissolution. The body can only work on it from the outside in, very slowly, eating away at the edges. He stated plainly that a fibroid, non-malignant tumor is very difficult to dissolve and will never go away on its own through internal dissolution.

A malignant tumor, by contrast, has blood circulation running all the way through it and contains cancer cells distributed throughout the dead cell mass.

Cancer Cells Produce Survival Solvents

Aajonus's reading of the cancer cell was the opposite of the conventional medical interpretation. He described the cancer cell not as a dangerous mutant causing the tumor's growth, but as the body's solution to a specific problem created by the accumulation of dead cells that cannot be cleared bacterially or fungally.

He stated that a cancer cell is surrounded by approximately 50 to 150, sometimes as many as 200, dead cells. The cancer cell, unlike normal cells, can survive in this environment of isolation from the normal communication network of the body. He compared it to a hermit or ascetic who can exist without ordinary contact, able to maintain its life while surrounded entirely by dead tissue. He said it still obtains its nutrients from the bloodstream but can survive well while isolated.

The cancer cell, he explained, produces a fluid that is viral in nature, meaning it functions as a solvent. He also described it as producing prostaglandins that can dissolve the dead tissue surrounding it. He said the cancer cell secretes this serum, which dissolves the tumor. He stated that the purpose of the cancer cell multiplying is to increase the body's capacity to dissolve more of that dead matter. More cancer cells mean more solvent-producing units, each capable of dissolving the surrounding mass of dead cells when they die.

He stated: "A cancer cell is your best friend." He described cancer cells as the immediate cure for the problem of dead cell accumulation. He said the cancer cell is not the problem that created the inability to eliminate dead cells, drawing the analogy that calling cancer cells responsible for tumors is like calling roosters responsible for the sun rising.

When Cancer Cells Die

The death of a cancer cell is, in Aajonus's framework, the moment at which the actual clearing of dead cellular material occurs. When a cancer cell dies, it releases its solvent, which he also described as being viral in nature, and that solvent dissolves all the surrounding dead cells within approximately 50 dead cell layers. He stated that thousands of dead cells are instantly dissolved when a single cancer cell dies.

He described this as why a malignant tumor can disappear overnight, or within 15 days, or within a month. A benign tumor without cancer cells, having no such dissolution mechanism, will never disappear rapidly and can only be slowly reduced from the outside in.

He also stated that a malignant tumor can be dissolved anywhere from 30 days to 10 to 15 years, depending on conditions. If the cancer cells are in the brain, dissolution can occur in as few as 2 to 5 days.

The Dangers Of Waste Products

The dissolution of dead cells by the solvent released from dying cancer cells produces an extremely toxic waste product. He described this byproduct consistently as acrid, as a very strong acidic product capable of damaging surrounding live tissue. He emphasized that this byproduct is the central danger in cancer, not the cancer cells themselves and not the tumors.

He stated that when the body starts dissolving tumors, healthy cells become involved because the acids produced cannot be controlled if the body is not eating properly. He connected this to osteoporosis in cancer patients, stating that everybody who has cancer has osteoporosis because the body begins consuming bone to supply the calcium, phosphates, manganese, and potassium necessary to neutralize the acids produced when dead cells are dissolved.

When the body lacks adequate fat to bind with this toxic waste, the dissolved dead-cell material begins dissolving healthy surrounding tissue. He described this as why people often die during cancer resolution: not from the cancer itself, but because the acrid substance released when the tumor dissolves begins melting all the surrounding tissue that is healthy. He stated that you need high storage fat to be able to handle this process and that without it, the waste cannot be bound and neutralized.

He illustrated this with a specific case: a patient with breast cancer who had been ultra-thin when she came to him. He wanted her to gain 35 pounds because he told her that if the tumor started dissolving she needed enough fat and minerals and everything else in the body to bind with the acrid substance so she did not start losing tissue. He stated that the acrid substance keeps dissolving all surrounding tissue when there is insufficient fat, and that this is usually why people die, not just because of the cancer.

He stated that when the body starts making cancer, starts dissolving tumors, you see things fall off and go off, and that healthy cells are involved in that because you cannot control the acids when the body is not eating properly.

Open Wounds Near Cancerous Sites

He addressed specifically what it means when an open wound appears near a cancerous site. He stated that this is the body throwing the dissolved dead-cell waste through the skin without enough fats to protect the healthy tissue surrounding the tumor. This is presented as a sign that dissolution is occurring but that the body lacks sufficient fat to handle the waste through normal channels without damaging the skin in the process.

Muscle Tissue Dead Cell Storage

He made a specific clinical point about the relationship between muscle tissue and the body's ability to store dead cells without building tumors. He described a client with tumors all over who had gone through ozone therapy and was getting weaker, skin and bones. He stated that his view in such a case is not to focus on the cancer at all, but to get muscle meat on the person because muscle tissue is where the body can store dead cells without building tumors.

He stated directly: "I know that somebody that is building tumors like this is not going to stop building those tumors until there is somewhere else to put those dead cells." This represents a protocol implication: increasing lean muscle mass through raw meat consumption creates additional storage capacity for dead cells, reducing the pressure on the body to build new tumors.

Lymphatic System Responsibility

He described the lymphatic system as primarily responsible for dissolving most of the body's dead cells and placing the waste under the skin for elimination. When the lymphatic system is not functioning well, dead cells accumulate faster than they can be cleared. He stated that the lymphatic system needs to be flowing as much and as quickly as possible without causing excessive detoxifications. He described toxic fats and insufficient fat stores as creating conditions where even a functioning lymphatic system cannot safely handle the waste products of dead cell dissolution.

Antiseptics, Surgery, and Cell Death

He described a specific mechanism by which medical antiseptics used in surgery directly cause dead cell accumulation and thereby contribute to tumor formation. He stated that antiseptics are not only antiseptic to bacteria; they are antiseptic to live cells and prevent cellular regeneration and division. They poison cells, and because those contaminated cells contain the poisons released by the antiseptic, the body does not want to dissolve them when they die because doing so would release those toxins again and damage more healthy cells. So the body gradually builds those poisoned cells into scar tissue when they die.

He described this process in detail: during surgery, many cells are killed and the body must dissolve or consume them, which is normally the job of the lymphatic system. Under such massive cellular destruction, white blood cells leave the bloodstream and enter the fluids in tissues that have been injured, consuming dead cells. But when toxic antiseptics like iodine or mercury are used, the white blood cells will not try to help the body by consuming the surgically destroyed and poisoned cells, thus preventing detoxification of the area. The dead cells accumulate. Because the body cannot easily dissolve them without releasing their toxic burden, it stores them, creating tumors.

He also stated that keloidal tissue is a tumor, most often a fibroid-like tumor, produced by the same mechanism.

Chemotherapy and Radiation Toxicity

He consistently described chemotherapy and radiation as causing what he called cellular genocide, amassing dead cells throughout the body that the body then cannot dissolve and instead builds into tumors, with metastasis appearing typically within 7 years of treatment. He stated that for every one cancer cell chemotherapy kills, at least one billion healthy cells are killed, drawing the analogy that if four humans were declared cancerous to the human race, the medical profession would be willing to kill four billion people, the entire world population at the time, to destroy only three or four individuals.

He stated that radiation transforms certain body substances into toxins that are themselves cancer-causing, meaning that the treatment creates the very condition it claims to address by massively increasing the number of dead cells the body cannot clear.

He described his own situation after receiving chemotherapy and radiation: that he went 35 to 36 years without being able to utilize bacteria or parasites because his body was so toxic, and that he had to rely exclusively on viral dissolution, the most toxic and debilitating form of cellular clearance.

Medical Framework Versus His Own

He described the medical profession's approach to cancer as looking at the cancer cells, the roosters, rather than the problem, the accumulation of dead cells that cannot be cleared. He stated that killing all the roosters and other creatures near and around will not stop the sun from rising, and that killing cancer cells with countless other cells will not stop cancer.

He described 791 anti-cancer agents produced by modern biotechnology and stated that none of them are designed to eliminate the causes of cancer. He cited an overall survival rate of approximately 17% beyond 5 years for conventional medical cancer therapies. He stated that among people born after 1947, about 32% survive beyond 7 years after medical cancer treatment, and that among people born after 1960, only about 17% survive beyond 7 years, with the decrease in survival rate attributed to increases in vaccines, medications, and industrial chemicals in food and the environment.

He stated that among people who receive cancer and go without treatment, 16% live to 5 years, and that only 4% of people who have treatment live beyond 5 years.

By contrast, he stated that 95% of the people who have cancer and go on his Primal Diet have the cancer resolved, citing Dr. Elnora Van Winkle's 2001 findings.

Inflammatory Cancer as Reversal

He addressed inflammatory breast cancer and the general phenomenon of cancers becoming inflammatory specifically. He stated that when any cancer becomes inflammatory, it is not a sign of worsening but of reversal. He described inflammatory cancer as the nature of the solvents rendered by dying cancer cells. Those solvents dissolve the surrounding dead cells, which constitute approximately 95% of every tumor. He stated that when a cancer becomes inflammatory, it is the process of reversing, meaning the body is finalizing detoxification and should begin healing.
