Aajonus's Definition
Coughs, in Aajonus's framework, are not a disease or a pathology to be suppressed, they are a purposeful, intelligent biological mechanism initiated by the body itself. As he states directly: "COUGHS are the body's way of loosening and eliminating toxic mucus, or increasing circulation to the torso, including respiratory and cardiac systems, intestines and gonads."
This definition is foundational. The body is not malfunctioning when it coughs, it is performing a necessary function that serves multiple simultaneous purposes:
1. Loosening and eliminating toxic mucus, The body has bound toxins within mucus and must expel that mucus-toxin package. Coughing is the mechanical force that moves this material upward and out.
2. Increasing circulation, Coughing generates pressure changes throughout the thoracic cavity that drive circulation to the torso broadly, including not just the lungs but also the respiratory system, the cardiac system, the intestines, and the gonads. This circulatory function is often entirely overlooked in conventional medicine, but Aajonus considers it equally important.
3. Keeping the lungs open and working, Aajonus specifically notes that "coughing keeps the lungs open and working," particularly during cold and flu detoxifications when the lung muscles are weakened. This is why he advised people not to lie flat during lung detoxifications, because gravity pushes the lungs closed in the prone position, forcing the lungs to cough (push open) much more intensely and frequently than when the person is in a sitting or semi-sitting position.
Coughs also serve as a discharge pathway for toxins that the body is moving out of deep tissues. When the body undergoes detoxification, whether from a flu, a cold, a deep tissue cleanse, or any other detoxification cycle, the waste products must travel through tissue, enter the lymphatic or circulatory system, and eventually be expelled. The lungs and the mucous membranes of the respiratory system are one of the primary exit routes. A cough is the physical action that expels that material once it has been packaged in mucus and moved to the airways.
Aajonus also contextualizes coughs specifically within his account of his own spinal meningitis detoxification: "I was coughing. It was like an intensified flu doubled with triple pneumonia. And I was filling up. In five hours I could fill up an entire bath towel with mucus. This went on for about five days. I went into a coughing jag one night that lasted six hours." This personal account communicates that even extreme, violent, prolonged coughing episodes are not signs that the body is failing, they are signs that the body is engaged in deep, radical detoxification.
He also describes the color and composition of what is coughed up as diagnostically meaningful: "If that's what you're coughing up, spit it out, it's highly contaminated with maggots. If it's yellow, it may be, you know, penicillin, or mainly bacteria, when you're having a viral detoxification, it will usually be clear, or grey, with metals in it. If it's green, it means you're using a fungus, to detoxify."

Root Cause
Aajonus identifies multiple root causes for coughs, each arising within his broader terrain framework. These are not separate diseases, they are variations of the same fundamental dynamic: the body attempting to eliminate toxicity through the respiratory system.
The primary root cause of cough is the accumulation of toxins in the mucous membranes, specifically, the inability of those membranes to produce enough mucus to properly bind with the toxins being discharged. Aajonus states: "However, if the mucous membranes cannot produce enough mucus to bind with the toxins, they become dry, and convulsive coughs may result."
The sequence is: - Toxins accumulate in tissue (from cooked food, industrial chemicals, vaccines, antibiotics, drugs, smoke tars, metals, etc.) - The body initiates a detoxification cycle - Toxins are moved to the respiratory mucous membranes for elimination - If sufficient raw fat and nutrients are available, the body produces adequate mucus to package and expel these toxins smoothly - If raw fat and nutrients are deficient, the mucous membranes become dry - Dry mucous membranes cannot bind toxins properly, the body must cough more violently and convulsively to achieve the same expulsion
This means the violence and discomfort of a cough is directly related to the degree of fat and nutrient deficiency in the tissues. A well-nourished body on a raw diet will cough less violently because it can produce enough mucus to package toxins efficiently. A depleted body will cough convulsively because it cannot.
Aajonus directly correlates prolonged coughing, including coughs that persist for months after a detoxification, with being "very fat deficient in tissues." He wrote in response to a patient whose cough from a Thanksgiving flu persisted weeks later: "Because you are still very fat deficient in tissues, your body takes more time to remove waste from detoxification. Coughs that force toxins that were removed from deep tissues may persist for months. The more time it takes, the greater the indication that you removed lots of toxins during that last detoxification."
This is a crucial reframe: a long-lasting cough is not evidence that something went wrong. It is evidence that: 1. The body removed a very large quantity of toxins from deep tissues, and 2. The tissues are fat-deficient and therefore require more time to move that waste through the system and out via coughing.
The fat deficiency connection appears also in the context of wheezing (a related respiratory symptom): "What's it mean when I have like a wheezing sound in my lungs? It means you have no fat. You're too dry... the mucus isn't forming properly."
For chronic and deep coughing conditions, the root cause is the accumulation of specific toxic substances:
- Smoke tars from cigarettes, marijuana, campfires, or from a mother who smoked during pregnancy and transferred tars to the baby through the womb or nursing. Aajonus describes finding "smoke tars everywhere in your body" in multiple patients, hardened throughout bronchioles, esophagus, and lung tissue, causing ongoing coughing as the body works to remove them.
- Metallic toxicity, metals accumulating in the lungs from industrial environments, airports, air pollution. The body discharges these through the respiratory system, producing grey or clear mucus.
- Plastic and synthetic fiber inhalation, breathing in lint from polyester clothing, synthetic bedding, carpets, rugs, and other synthetic materials. Aajonus observed that "80% of the population, the female population in Vietnam wears synthetic clothes. The highest rate of lung difficulties in any country." The body must digest these plastic particles in the lungs, sinuses, esophagus, and bronchioles, requiring colds, flus, and coughs to expel them.
- Chloroform vapors from chlorine are also mentioned as affecting the lungs.
- Cauterized metals from cooked food, when food is cooked, trace metals are fractionated and tend to collect in the brain and nervous system rather than passing through in the feces. These metals are then dumped out through the salivary glands, tongue, eyes, tear ducts, ears, and the mucous membranes of the sinuses and respiratory tract. "When you have a head cold, that's the brain cleaning."
In the context of bronchial conditions, Aajonus identifies emotional suppression, specifically creative suppression, as a causative factor. "The resultant tension in the chest is often secondarily causative because it spends fat in the bronchi, drying them. It is then difficult to produce protective mucus and the bronchi become susceptible to irritation from airborne substances." The symptoms of this condition include "back and muscle pain, sore throat, dry coughs that are followed by coughing up mucus."
In detoxification contexts, particularly following flu or cold cycles, coughing arises because the body has pulled toxins from deep tissues and must now route them out. As Aajonus explains: "Coughs that force toxins that were removed from deep tissues may persist for months." This can follow any deep detoxification event including cold-flu cycles, pneumonia, meningitis, and chemotherapy recovery.
In pneumonia specifically, which is always accompanied by severe coughing, the root cause is nutrients being entirely consumed by a severely stressful detoxification or medical procedure. "This usually happens following a severely stressful detoxification or medical procedure that has consumed all available nutrients. Consequently, mucus cannot be properly constructed to protect the lungs."
---
Why This Happens
Coughs fit into multiple causal principles in Aajonus's framework simultaneously:
Detoxification, This is the primary principle. Aajonus repeatedly frames coughs as the mechanism of detoxification, specifically of the respiratory system, lungs, brain (through the respiratory mucous membranes), and lymphatic system. A cough is never the disease, it is always the cure in progress.
Terrain Theory, The terrain (the internal environment of the body's tissues) determines whether coughing is smooth or convulsive. A well-nourished terrain with adequate raw fat produces smooth, productive mucus that makes coughing less violent. A depleted terrain, especially fat-deficient, produces dry conditions that result in convulsive, painful, prolonged coughing.
Cooked Food, The accumulated effects of a lifetime of cooked food consumption create the toxic load that eventually must be expelled through coughing. Cooked food fractionates metals, destroys the enzymes and nutrients needed to build mucus, and creates the degenerated cellular debris that bacteria and fungi must then consume during detoxification (cold and flu cycles), which manifests as coughing.
Microbes, Coughs during cold and flu cycles are the physical expression of bacterial and fungal consumption of dead and degenerated cells. Aajonus explains that bacteria and fungi come out of hibernation seasonally to consume damaged, decaying, and dead cells. This is the natural function of these microorganisms. The mucus they produce must be expelled, that is what the cough does. Historically colds were mainly bacterial (yellow to clear mucus) and flus mainly viral. Aajonus noted that as industrial toxicity has increased, even colds have become more viral, reflecting greater degeneration.
Raw Food / How to Live, Raw food, especially raw fats, provides the nutrients necessary to build adequate mucus and support smooth detoxification. Living in environments with clean air, natural fiber clothing, and cotton or silk furniture prevents the accumulation of inhalable toxins that require coughing to expel. Not suppressing coughs with antibiotics or pharmaceuticals allows the body to complete its cleaning cycle.
Sovereignty, Aajonus's position that coughing cannot spread contagion is a sovereignty argument. "You cannot get a cold from somebody coughing." Detoxification is seasonal and climate-driven, not contagion-driven. He likened it to bears coming out of hibernation, it happens in one region, then another, not because it spread, but because conditions (temperature, climate) became right for it.

Symptoms Reframed
The symptom of coughing is reframed entirely. It is not a sign of infection, not a sign of illness, not something to be suppressed. It is the body doing exactly what it is designed to do, expelling toxic mucus from the respiratory system, keeping the lungs open and functional, and driving circulation to the torso. To suppress a cough with pharmaceuticals is, in Aajonus's framework, to prevent the body from completing its necessary work, which will result in toxins accumulating further, causing more serious disease down the line.
Violent, convulsive coughing is specifically the symptom of dry mucous membranes, the body trying to expel toxins without adequate mucus to package them. The violence is not a sign of a more serious illness; it is a sign of fat and nutrient deficiency that is preventing the body from producing the mucus it needs to cough more smoothly and productively.
Aajonus reframes persistent post-detoxification coughing not as a sign of ongoing illness, but as evidence of two things: (1) the body removed a very large quantity of toxins from deep tissues during the detoxification, and (2) fat deficiency in those tissues is slowing the process of moving the remaining waste out via coughing. The more time it takes, the greater the detoxification that occurred.
- Yellow to clear mucus, bacterial detoxification (normal cold)
- Green to clear mucus, fungal detoxification
- Clear or grey mucus, viral detoxification, may contain metals
- Thick brown or greenish mucus (particularly in morning coughs), deep detoxification of accumulated toxins, as Aajonus personally experienced during his own cold-flu detoxification
Coughing that causes pain in the ribs, stomach, or referred pain in the groin or lower abdomen is addressed directly in the Q&A. Excessive coughing can sprain muscles in these areas. Additionally, coughing during lymphatic detoxification of the breast/lung area can cause pain in all of the lymph nodes simultaneously when they are engorged with toxins being moved.
Croup, a high-pitched cough accompanied by difficult breathing, usually preceded by a sore throat, typically affecting children under five, is reframed: "The cough is necessary to bring circulation to toxin-blocked tissue of the lungs, heart and throat." Even the most alarming-sounding pediatric coughs are, in this framework, purposeful mechanisms.
In emphysema, the cough arises because the lungs have become loaded with garbage, airborne pollution, tobacco smoke, synthetic fibers, that they cannot easily detoxify and discharge. The destruction of the air sacs in the lungs limits the body's capacity to process these toxins.
The cough accompanying pneumonia is a symptom of the most radical form of lung detoxification. Pneumonia itself is described as "a radical method of detoxification." The cough in pneumonia is especially important because it keeps the lungs open, lying flat during pneumonia allows gravity to push the lungs closed, worsening the condition.
In the context of creative/emotional suppression causing bronchial tension: dry coughs that eventually graduate to coughing up mucus are the body's attempt to produce protective mucus for dried bronchi, and to expel whatever toxins have accumulated in the absence of adequate mucosal protection.

Food Protocol
The foundational protocol for coughs involves drinking smoothies that supply the nutrients necessary to form healthy mucus and lubricate mucous membranes:
Formula: 2–3 raw eggs + ½ cup fresh raw fruit + 2–4 tablespoons unheated honey
- The raw eggs supply fats, proteins, and nutrients for mucus construction
- The fresh raw fruit provides enzymes, vitamins, and acids that support detoxification
- The unheated honey provides enzymes, antimicrobial compounds, and concentrated sugars that support the mucous membranes
- This formula specifically supplies the nutrients to form healthy mucus AND lubricate existing mucous membranes
Formula: Equal portions grated raw horseradish root OR ginger root + fresh raw lemon juice
This formula specifically thins toxic mucus so that coughs do not have to be as violent. The mechanism is that thinner mucus is easier to expel, less convulsive force is required when the mucus flows more easily. This is one of the most direct interventions for making coughing less painful and less traumatic.
Aajonus specifically names his Throat Lozenge formula as the normal recommendation for breaking up coughing mucus. The formula contains: - Ginger - Honey - Butter - Lemon
For an infant experiencing cold-related coughing, the dose is specifically: no more than 1 drop on the tongue every 2–4 hours.
When a patient experienced excessive front rib and stomach pain due to excessive coughing, with difficulty coughing and difficulty breathing, Aajonus prescribed:
Formula: 1 tablespoon moist Terramin clay blended in 2 ounces of kefir, twice daily, specifically once at approximately 10 AM, with the second dose timing not fully specified in the available passage but implied to be later in the day.
He first asked whether the patient was consuming moist Terramin clay regularly, and upon learning the patient was only using ½ teaspoon in morning juice, he significantly increased the amount, indicating the importance of adequate clay quantity for this application.
For croup (high-pitched cough in children under five with difficult breathing):
1. Honey/butter mix, soothes the tissue and eases difficult breathing 2. Smoothies, help cleanse the mucous membranes 3. Citrus fruits, help cleanse the mucous membranes 4. Antibiotic-free and hormone-free raw chicken or turkey, specifically to strengthen and rebuild the affected tissue of the lungs, heart, and throat
For bronchial conditions producing dry coughs followed by coughing up mucus:
1. Unsalted raw butter, specifically mentioned as especially helpful raw fat for soothing this condition 2. Raw cream, soothes bronchi 3. Raw eggs, soothes and nourishes bronchi 4. Fresh raw carrot juice mixed with raw cream or raw eggs, described as soothing and nourishing the bronchi "very quickly"
Additionally, "finding a form of artistic expression that suits a person's nature begins a more expansive approach to life and health", the emotional/expressive component is considered part of the healing protocol.
For pneumonia's accompanying severe cough and respiratory distress:
1. A little raw fish every couple of hours, provides easily digestible proteins for rebuilding mucous membranes 2. Orange smoothies: 2–4 raw eggs blended with raw fresh orange juice, drunk plenty, this combination "usually has ended this severe detoxification in two days" 3. Continue raw orange smoothies daily + only 1 cup raw meat per week for one week, brings mucous membranes to a healing state 4. After that week: balanced raw diet with raw eggs and plenty of raw meat including raw fish, strengthens and restores mucous membranes to very good health
Cough is listed as a symptom of flu. The flu protocol includes:
1. First thing in the morning: 4 tablespoons raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar + juice of ½ lemon + 4 tablespoons unheated honey, helps neutralize toxins 2. Smoothies: 2–3 raw eggs + ½–1 fresh raw unripe banana OR ½ cup raw fresh orange juice, helps body make the detoxification through mucous membranes easier; unheated honey may be added if desired 3. Plenty of sleep, allows respiratory system to rest and clean
This is one of Aajonus's most specific and repeated recommendations for respiratory coughing:
Do not lie flat. When the body is detoxifying the lungs, or through the lungs, the lung muscles are weakened. Gravity in the prone position pushes the lungs closed, forcing more coughing to push them back open.
Instead: Sleep in a near-sitting position, specifically compared to how a baby would be positioned in a car seat. This allows gravity to keep the lungs pushed open rather than closed. The result: the person breathes easier and coughs less because the lungs do not have to fight gravity constantly.
This protocol is described as having saved the life of an AIDS patient who had survived three bouts of pneumonia. She got pneumonia a fourth time, was told by Aajonus to sleep sitting up, did so, and within three days of the pneumonia breaking, she was out of bed and "fully functional", a state she had not been in for three months.
For lungs damaged by smoke tars or other causes, Aajonus recommended eating raw lung tissue, specifically buffalo lung or chicken lung:
- Buffalo lung blended with milk and a little teaspoon of salsa
- He personally reported that the day after eating buffalo lung, he "felt like I was absorbing and utilizing all of the oxygen I was breathing"
- Chicken lung is also mentioned as effective: "eating the lung and chicken is the best way to remedy that. That usually means two or three..."
For patients with smoke tars hardened throughout the bronchioles and lungs causing chronic coughing:
Fermented tobacco juice protocol: - Take 12 ounces of juiced green (raw) tobacco - Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice + 1 teaspoon vinegar - Place in a 16-ounce jar (leaving headspace) - Let ferment out of the refrigerator for several weeks - Take the top off occasionally to let it air/ferment - Let it ferment until it is "sizzling, gassing" - Then refrigerate - Take a few drops of this in vegetable juice daily
Additionally, vinegar in the sport formula (approximately 1 tablespoon vinegar with 3–4 ounces of milk, once every other day, around 6 PM) is mentioned for addressing plaque in the bronchioles.
Aajonus places heavy emphasis throughout all cough-related discussions on the fundamental necessity of raw fat:
- Unsalted raw butter, specifically for soothing bronchial conditions and supporting mucous membrane production
- Raw cream, for soothing the bronchi and supporting mucous membranes
- Raw eggs, for nourishing bronchi, building mucus, supporting lungs
- Raw milk, provides minerals essential during colds and coughing detoxifications; "The minerals that accompany lactose are most important during colds"
- Honey/butter mix, specifically named for croup and for Aajonus's own detoxification; eaten in roughly 6:1 ratio (6 parts butter to 1 part honey based on personal consumption described)
Aajonus also uses what the body coughs up to guide dietary decisions: - Yellow mucus (bacterial), normal cold protocol - Green mucus (fungal), fungal detoxification support - Clear/grey mucus (viral with metals), viral detoxification and metal discharge support - Brown/greenish thick mucus in the mornings, deep accumulation discharge; butter/honey mixture continued
When asked specifically whether lactose was acceptable during a cold with coughing, Aajonus replied: "The minerals that accompany lactose are most important during colds." Raw milk was not to be avoided, the mineral content accompanying lactose was considered actively beneficial during the coughing/cold cycle.

What to Avoid
- i
This is the single most critical avoidance Aajonus specifies for respiratory coughing. Lying flat allows gravity to push the weakened lung muscles closed, dramatically increasing the frequency and violence of coughing. This applies during colds, flus, pneumonia, and any other condition involving lung detoxification.
- ii
While Aajonus does not state this in so many words in these specific passages, his entire framework positions cough suppression as counterproductive. Coughing is the mechanism of elimination. Stopping it stops the detoxification.
- iii
Antibiotics are mentioned as a cause of inadequate mucus production, they destroy the bacterial environment needed for proper mucus formation throughout the body, including in the intestines and respiratory tract. Any use of antibiotics will worsen the underlying terrain that produces inefficient coughing.
- iv
In the bronchial context: "Smoking and other airborne pollution worsen this condition." This applies broadly to any coughing condition, airborne toxins add to the toxic load the body must eliminate through coughing and simultaneously damage the mucous membranes needed to do so efficiently.
- v
Breathing in lint and particles from synthetic clothing, bedding, carpets, rugs, and furniture creates a continuous load of plastic particles in the lungs that must be expelled through coughing. Aajonus recommended replacing all household items with natural fibers, cotton, silk, and wearing natural fiber clothing.
- vi
Cooked foods fail to provide the raw enzymes, living fats, and intact proteins needed to build healthy mucus. They also introduce fractionated metals and destroyed nutrients that accumulate as toxins requiring eventual elimination through coughing.
- vii
In one vivid clinical account, Aajonus watched a patient (Jeff) be given pasteurized orange juice during severe throat and esophageal distress. He describes the pasteurized juice as "much more acidic than fresh. All of its enzymes and at least 50% of its vitamins are dead and some radical, and the minerals are unstable and radical. It will give Jeff very little with which to heal and will burn his throat." The patient immediately choked violently. This illustrates that during states of respiratory compromise involving coughing and throat/esophageal involvement, pasteurized or processed foods actively worsen the condition.
- viii
While small amounts of vinegar and lemon are used therapeutically in certain formulas, Aajonus notes in a broader digestive context that large amounts of vinegar and pineapple can cause the body to drop off mucus too rapidly. The reference is to maggots in expelled material, indicating that if digestion/mucus breakdown happens too fast (from too much vinegar or pineapple), the contents become contaminated. The principle is to not accelerate breakdown faster than the body can manage.

Recovery Timeline
For a typical cold or flu cycle, Aajonus implies the coughing phase follows a progression. In his own personal account of a cold-flu detoxification, he describes: - Days 1–3: Sinus burning, soreness, swelling, near-constant nasal drip - Days 4–6: Voluminous sinus, nasal, and throat mucus discharges - After 6 days (day 6+): Detoxification moved into the lungs with infrequent deep mucosal coughs - Morning coughs lasting several minutes, discharging thick brown or greenish mucus - The 8-day cold-flu detoxification concluded
For the pneumonia patient with AIDS who followed the sleeping-upright protocol: the pneumonia broke and within 3 days she was out of bed and fully functional.
Coughs following deep detoxification events can persist for months. Aajonus states this explicitly: "Coughs that force toxins that were removed from deep tissues may persist for months." A patient who still had a cough more than two weeks after a Thanksgiving flu detoxification was told this was expected, and that the duration indicated the body had removed large quantities of toxins from deep tissues.
The limiting factor for recovery timeline is fat deficiency in tissues: "The more time it takes, the greater the indication that you removed lots of toxins during that last detoxification." Building up fat reserves through consistent consumption of raw fats will speed the process in subsequent detoxification cycles.
Aajonus describes his own bronchials as being "90% scar tissue" from years of heavy Lucky Strike non-filter smoking (two packs a day, sometimes drawing smoke at 900°F reaching 1250°F into the lungs). He went through multiple pneumonias and spinal meningitis episodes over years to clean his lungs (achieving 90% clean lungs). But his bronchials remained 90% toxic.
Then he underwent a cold and flu, photographed his irises before and after, and found: "40% of the scar tissue went away in a month." This illustrates that even heavily scarred bronchial tissue can undergo rapid detoxification when the terrain is properly supported, but the process is measured in years of progressive improvement, not days.
In his own case of spinal meningitis-level detoxification: violent, intense coughing (filling a bath towel with green mucus full of gangrenous tissue in five hours, with coughing jags lasting six hours straight) continued for approximately five days at extreme intensity.
For croup, no specific timeline is given, but the protocol implies relatively rapid relief from the combination of honey/butter mix (for immediate soothing), smoothies and citrus (for cleansing), and raw chicken or turkey (for tissue rebuilding).

Questions Aajonus Answered
- Q: My child is having a cold cleansing. What position should he be in? He keeps coughing.
Aajonus: When anyone experiences a cold cleansing, it is best to not lie flat. I suggest that you do not place him in a prone position. When the body detoxifies the lungs, or through the lungs, the lung muscles are weakened. Gravity pushes the lungs closed in the prone position. I suggest that he sleep in a near-sitting position such as he would be if he were in a baby's car seat. He will breathe easier and cough less. Coughing keeps the lungs open and working. The lungs will not have to push open (cough) so much when he is in a sitting position.
- Q: What can I give him to break up the coughing mucus?
Aajonus: Normally, I suggest my Throat Lozenge formula with ginger, honey, butter and lemon. However, for an infant, I would not give him more than 1 drop on his tongue every 2–4 hours.
- Q: Is lactose OK if you have a cold?
Aajonus: The minerals that accompany lactose are most important during colds.
- Q: I am surprised that I still have my cough from my Thanksgiving flu and feel very tired.
Aajonus: Because you are still very fat deficient in tissues, your body takes more time to remove waste from detoxification. Coughs that force toxins that were removed from deep tissues may persist for months. The more time it takes, the greater the indication that you removed lots of toxins during that last detoxification.
- Q: I have excessive front rib and stomach pain due to excessive coughing, it is hard to cough. It is hard for me to breathe. What do you recommend?
Aajonus: Are you consuming moist Terramin clay regularly?
Patient: Just for morning juice, ½ tsp of Terramin clay.
Aajonus: I suggest you consume 1 T. moist Terramin clay, blended in 2 ounces of kefir, twice daily, once about 10 AM [and a second time later in the day].
- Q: [Patient describes a woman whose lungs are very itchy in the sternum area and she just needs to cough. When she bent forward, blood surged to the lymph and they would throb. When she coughed, she could feel pain in all her lymph. She is sore everywhere and it is painful in the lungs when she coughs. She has started to cough up some mucus. Every time she lay down and tried to sleep, she would start coughing and it was really painful.]
Context from Aajonus's framework applied: She has been taking hot baths and using a hot water bottle on the breast area, this is consistent with Aajonus's recommendations for moving lymphatic congestion. She is 100% raw with no salt for 2 years, consuming plenty of cream, a quart of milk daily, at least one meat meal, green juice, butter, cheese before meat meals, and seasonal fruits. The coughing associated with lymphatic detoxification of the breast/lung area, with pain in all lymph nodes when coughing, represents lymphatic congestion being discharged through the lungs. The protocol already being followed (raw diet, hot baths, hot water bottle) is consistent with what Aajonus would recommend.
- Q: What does it mean when I have a wheezing sound in my lungs?
Aajonus: It means you have no fat. You're too dry. [Alcohol also] could mean that the mucus isn't forming properly. [How many eggs should I be having?] Eight to twelve a day. I would say ten to twelve is probably better.
- Q: [In context of material coming up from the lungs after eating meat:] What if it's coming out of the lungs?
Aajonus: Well, if it's coming out of the lungs, it's coming out of your stomach or somewhere in your body breaking down. It's not the meat that you're eating. What if you're not eating meat? Well, it's still the same thing. Your body's breaking down somewhere and discarding toxins out the lungs instead of through the skin. So hot baths, cheese, all of that will help.
- Q: Can you spread a cold from coughing?
Aajonus: You cannot get a cold from somebody coughing. I'm sure a lot of people in a family will get a cold at the same time, because it's the season. Everybody detox. Detoxification is seasonal. When the climate's right, certain bacteria come out of hibernation. It's no more than like bears. Bears come out of hibernation in the United States first, then they come out of hibernation in Canada, then hibernation in Alaska. Is that contagious? No. It's hibernation. These bacteria, parasites, fungus go into hibernation.
- Q: She says she can't breathe during pneumonia. [AIDS patient with three prior bouts of pneumonia.]
Aajonus: The only reason you can't breathe is because you're working against gravity. If you're lying down and your lungs aren't functioning fully, what is gravity going to do? It's going to push your lungs flat. You want to work with gravity? You sleep sitting up. You sleep at a slight angle and then the gravity keeps the lungs pushed open.
[She followed this advice and got pneumonia ten days later.] She got through it, 3 days later she was out of bed once the pneumonia broke. She was out of bed and fully functional again and she hadn't been that way in 3 months since the first bout of pneumonia, just like that. So pneumonia is your cleansing. Get through it, don't panic. Don't sleep lying down. Anytime you can't breathe, don't lie down. You will let the gravity open your lungs, not smash them together.
